Most importantly, meditation is the way to connect with God or the Divine, heal body and mind, reduce stress, find solutions to problems, reduce blood pressure, reduce negativity from your mind, helps to know yourself, and become spiritually awakened. Meditation comes from the Vedic tradition of India, which over 4000 years ago was practiced by sage, monks, and the higher level spiritual people. Mahatma Budda, was enlightened by doing meditation.
Meditation is very easy to learn, and you can get many valuable benefits from practicing meditation; you learn to meditate by calming your mind. First of all, you have to control your mind. Once you learn to control your mind, then you should be able to do meditation very easily. The silence and stillness you experience in meditation along with increased frequency promotes a deeper meditational experience.
